Dr. Bethany Walker, LCSW-S

With over 10 years serving East Texas as a social worker and mental health provider, I’ve had the privilege to work in a variety of areas including school, community, nonprofit, and clinical settings. Specializng in trauma and narrative therapy treatments, I’ve pursued degrees and continuing education that allow me to be the best provider to children, families, and individuals who are looking for someone to meet them where they are and empower them to overcome their past trauma and lasting symptoms.

As an author, I write in a variety of genres including flash fiction, picture books, and long form. My work has been recognized in various contests and online magazines. My flash fiction work is featured in places such as Flash Fiction Magazine and Timber Ghost Press. “Lena & the Dragon”, my debut independently published children’s book, was awarded the 2023 SCBWI Spark Honor Award.

In my free time, you can find me binging horror movies, trying new recipes, collecting an absurd amount of books, and drinking too much caffeine.
